nomVnom

January 04, 2016

nomvnom has been getting quite some attention in the vegan community. There were some rumours that the person who opened nomvnom used to be a manager at VeganBurg. But all these are just rumours.
I am guilty of being fooled into believing most things I read hence I didn't actually try to find out the truth from the manager of nomvnom himself/herself. Gaaah, I feel so terrible :(  That's why I'm very thankful that the owner of nomVnom actually reached out to tell me the truth via a direct message!

Here are the facts:

  • The owner of nomVnom was NOT a manager of VeganBurg.
  • The owner of nomVnom took a year of franchise at VeganBurg's Golden Shoe Outlet (no longer there) like a test (for experience) for their own business.
  • Towards the end of the contract with VeganBurg, VeganBurg decided not to continue business at Golden shoe hence nomVnom took over the location and started his own brand to serve the vegan community :)

With all that being clarified, I guess I'm just happy there are more vegan options popping up in Singapore :)  I can't deny that their food is delicious!

Located at Central Clarke Quay, 6 Eu Tong Sen Street #B1-44, which is very near the Clark Quay MRT station, it's quite easy to get to nomvnom.
nomvnom has more options available than VeganBurg but the prices for some of their burgers are a lot more expensive.

I ate with 2 of my friends and they really enjoyed their meal too. We shared sides and I must recommend the sweet potato fries :)  They're sweet, chewy and very delicious.

I really like the way they serve the food as well! The wooden board is cute and different from the metal camping-styled tray from VeganBurg.

Otah otah (burger)
The otah is delicious. If you like otah and spicy food, you should give this option a try. It's also one of their cheaper choices. The burger buns are soft and fluffy, very different from VeganBurg which typically has a heartier bun which leaves you felling fuller. The vegan mayo is very delicious as well.

Cinnamon Cocoa (drink)
The cinnamon taste is strong but not overwhelming. It kicks the cocoa taste up a notch. The drink is thick and creamy. It's a wonderful beverage to end off the meal :)

Goro balls (side)
Similar to the spinach balls in VeganBurg but without the creamy filling. I guess these Goro balls taste like potato croquettes. They aren't too oily and it's a nice side for the meal :)

A set meal is a burger + side + drink which includes an apple cider shot (on the far right of the pic above). It's sweet and it has many benefits. One of which is that it helps with digestion!

That's all for this post! I'll be going nomVnom a lot in the future!

Bye for now :)

    1. The owner franchaise the Golden Shoe outlet for 1 year, thereafter lease expired and continue under his own brand to serve the vegan community as veganburg choose not to continue operating at Golden Shoe. Similiarly we saw closure of their 2 other outlets during that time. Probably to focus their resources on opening at USA.
